At Velvet Reverie Boutique, we do our best to make sure your order arrives safely, accurately, and ready to be loved. Because we operate as a boutique-style online shop with third-party fulfillment and dropshipping partners, please review the policy below before placing an order.

🚫 Non-Refundable Items

Due to hygiene, safety, product integrity, and fulfillment limitations, some items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded.

  • Personal care, bath, body, or beauty items once opened or used
  • Undergarments, intimate apparel, or similar items
  • Jewelry and pierced jewelry items
  • Handmade, custom, personalized, or made-to-order items

We do not offer direct exchanges at this time.

If you need a different size, color, or item, the usual process is:

  1. Submit a return request within 3 days of delivery.
  2. Wait for approval and return instructions.
  3. Once eligible, receive a refund or store credit.
  4. Place a new order for the item you prefer.

This helps keep inventory, fulfillment, and tracking as clean as possible. WooCommerce likes to be dramatic enough already.

Damage, defect, or incorrect item claims must be submitted within 3 days of delivery.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please email us right away with clear photos so we can begin a review with the appropriate fulfillment or shipping partner.

Please include photos of:

  • The damaged, defective, or incorrect item
  • The shipping box or mailer
  • Any visible damage to the outer packaging
  • All inner packaging, inserts, or protective materials
  • The packing slip or shipping label if available

Please do not discard the item or packaging until the claim is resolved. You may be asked to keep the full package for inspection by the carrier or supplier. Discarding the packaging too early may limit or void the claim.

Approved refunds are typically issued back to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank, card provider, PayPal, Stripe, or other payment processor.

Shipping charges, route protection fees, gift wrap, handling fees, or similar service charges may be non-refundable unless the issue was caused by our error or the fulfillment partner’s error.

If a refund is approved, it may take several business days for the funds to appear after the refund is submitted.

🎁 Store Credit

In some cases, we may offer store credit as an alternative to a refund. Store credit may be used toward a future purchase from Velvet Reverie Boutique and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Store credit may be especially helpful when an item is not eligible for a traditional exchange but you would still like to shop for something else.

Velvet Reverie Boutique may operate with an affiliate-based structure, meaning affiliates can earn commissions on qualifying purchases.

  • If an order is returned and refunded, the associated affiliate commission may be reversed, adjusted, or deducted from future payout totals.
  • If a customer chooses store credit instead of a refund, the affiliate commission may remain with the affiliate when appropriate.
  • If an order is canceled, charged back, fraudulent, unpaid, or otherwise invalid, the associated commission may be voided or reversed.

Affiliate commission handling is managed according to our affiliate program settings and payout rules. This section is included so customers and affiliates understand how returns may affect commission credit.

🚫 Refused, Undeliverable, or Unauthorized Returns

If a package is refused, returned due to an incorrect address, left unclaimed, or sent back without authorization, the order may be subject to deductions.

  • Original shipping costs may be non-refundable.
  • Return shipping costs may be deducted from any refund or credit.
  • A 25% restocking fee may apply.
  • Additional carrier, supplier, or handling fees may also be deducted when applicable.

Some products, including wax-based items, bath/body products, oils, or similar temperature-sensitive goods, may be affected by extreme heat or cold during transit.

By ordering temperature-sensitive products, you accept the risk of possible melting, softening, hardening, texture changes, or other weather-related changes during shipping.

We do not offer refunds or replacements for weather-related damage unless otherwise required or approved after review.

To reduce risk:

  • Make sure someone is available to receive your package when possible.
  • Bring packages inside promptly after delivery.
  • Allow cold-sensitive items to return to room temperature before opening or using.
  • Use your best judgment when ordering heat-sensitive items during extreme weather.

Some items may ship directly from third-party suppliers or fulfillment partners. Because of this, return addresses, replacement availability, shipping timelines, and return eligibility may vary by item.

Please do not send products back to the return address on the package unless we have specifically instructed you to do so. Some supplier return addresses cannot accept customer returns.
